This beautiful beachfront vacation villa enjoys the privilege of being the only villa on this gorgeous beach, which lies on Akumal Bay. The four thousand square foot residence truly has a character of its own, blending Mediterranean and Moroccan styles in its architecture and décor. The rooms are huge and the windows throughout are arched in the Moorish fashion. Enormous palm trees line the entrance to this walled estate. The garage is covered and can house two cars, and also houses the apartment used by the manager or owner. Adjacent to this apartment is the separate fourth bedroom with its own bathroom – it could be a good place for any noisy teenagers!

 

As you approach the front door you will ascend the expansive curve of the steps and pass through immense carved doors flanked by stained glass windows. The first thing you will see is the impressive cathedral ceiling rising thirty feet above your head, the walls carved from stone, the Greek floors, the rugs from Bali, and the soft lighting. In the dining room you will be able to appreciate the ceiling of domed brick and the magnificent view of Akumal Bay. There is also a domed brick ceiling in the huge kitchen, which is completely equipped, has a breakfast table and a bar which leads through into the living room. The couches in the living room have an elegant fabric of tiger print and are replete with cushions. There is also a very cool powder room.

 

Every room in this delightful holiday home is blessed with gorgeous ocean views. Downstairs there are two large guest bedrooms with air-conditioning, king-size beds, enormous bathrooms, walk-in closets, and high ceilings. For added privacy one of the bedrooms has its own separate entrance. Climbing the wooden spiral stairs you reach the enormous and striking master bedroom. You will immediately notice the king-size bed, carved from teak, beneath an elegant canopy and framed by a carved stone wall. There is a cozy, circular, covered balcony which is so attractive and enjoys so many refreshing breezes from the bay that you will want to spend many an hour relaxing and reading there. The bathroom, with its exquisite tiles, is uniquely attractive. It actually comprises three rooms – one for the shower, one for the bidet and toilet, and the main bathroom area with two washbasins.   This gorgeous oceanfront vacation rental lies on a beautiful beach and has a particularly attractive swimming pool, being lagoon-style and having a pool pagoda house on the side nearest the beach.  From the kitchen you can pass straight through to the outside area, which is especially convenient for entertaining outdoors.  Meanwhile you can marvel at the stars or the magnificent sunrises over the bay from the rooftop area, which is just one huge observatory. The design of the villa makes the most of the constant sea breeze, so the living area does not have air-conditioning; with its high ceilings and myriad windows it really does not need it.
