Meanwhile complete tranquility and privacy are to be found in the little casita; a separate, fully-furnished, one bedroom cozy house. This 3600 square-foot Spanish Colonial residence is constantly cooled by the Caribbean breezes that pass through and around it and when you top all this off with the gorgeous sea views from almost every room in the villa, then you realize that this is a very special holiday accommodation designed to make you feel special.

Exquisite hardwood furniture decorated with artistic flourishes from well-known artists graces this beachfront villa. The entrance gate is made of elegant wrought iron and it leads to a handicap-friendly house entrance.  Upon opening the front door you will be welcomed by the sight of the aquamarine waters of the Caribbean. The outside is brought in by the expansive bay windows that front the whole side of the house that faces the beach. No more than a few steps through the spacious, open living and kitchen areas and you are already at the swimming pool.  The warmth and brightness of the colors of the beautifully decorated bedrooms reflect the warmth and brightness of Mexico, as do the custom mosaics found in each bathroom. Out on the wonderfully romantic veranda you can relax with a cool margarita on the mahogany lounge chair.

This enchanting beachfront vacation home lies on Tankah Bay and is only six miles from Tulum to the south and eighty miles from Cancun to the north.  Tankah Bay’s wonderful beach is not its only source of fame; it is also renowned for a cenote which is a mere ten-minute stroll from Villa Orquidea. Close to the cenote there are two restaurants, or if you prefer you can just kick back at the villa and savor the delicious catering service. Swimming, snorkeling and kayaking are not the only activities awaiting you at this outstanding beachfront rental villa; Tulum, with its magnificent Mayan ruins, is just a 15-minute drive away. After visiting these architectural treasures you will also find a host of shops, superb restaurants and yet more charming beaches.
