Los Primos is a beautiful and luxurious beachfront holiday home on the Mayan Riviera of Mexico. It can be found in the tranquil and exclusive hamlet of South Akumal, just a couple of miles from Akumal. This vacation residence is full of character and has more space than you could ever need.It has a living area of some six thousand square feet, not counting the large balconies, terraces and decks. The decoration is superb, with original paintings and regional antiques, while every room has ocean views. The size of the living, dining and kitchen areas is impressive, as is the entrance hall which is graced by a brick domed ceiling. Step out the back and you find yourself on a gorgeous Caribbean beach. At the front there is a charming private garden with a ‘casita’ (small guest house) and an enclosed carport.

Three of the four bedrooms enjoy views of the Caribbean, and the other looks out over the garden. Upstairs you can find the enormous master suite, which boasts a king size bed, deluxe bathroom, and a balcony with wonderful ocean views. It has air-conditioning and a wall of mirrors. The second upstairs bedroom has two queen size beds, a bathroom accessed from the hallway, and a balcony looking out to sea. The third upstairs bedroom is a studio with two futons and slatted doors opening onto the hallway, through which it accesses the same bathroom as the second bedroom. It also has a balcony with ocean views. Downstairs there is a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed and a lovely bathroom. French doors and windows are all over this luminous vacation villa, allowing refreshing sea breezes to circulate, adding to the coolness and comfort. The charming guest house boasts the elegance of wrought iron trim and the color and beauty of tropical flowers all year round. This ‘casita’ has a bedroom with twin beds, a living room, a small kitchen area and a bathroom.
