Villa Encantada is a fabulous 4-bedroom, 4-bath, beachfront luxury villa located in the exclusive residential area of Jade Beach, just 60 miles south of Cancun. The locale provides wonderful seclusion where you can escape from the stresses of daily life, yet is just a short walk on the beach away from restaurants, dive facilities, shops, health club, cyber-cafe and kids’ club of charming Akumal. Villa Encantada is situated directly on the Caribbean ocean with its own personal area of white sand beach. Owned by a famous painter and sculptor, this beautifully designed home is a work of art in its own right. Arranged on three levels in the midst of a lush tropical landscape, the structural focus point of the villa is a four level circular tower in the center of the house, beautifully diffused with light. The artistic details expressed throughout this villa are apparent in every room and niche making every space utterly enchanting.

Surrounding the villa is a garden paradise of orchids, palm trees and tropical foliage and flowers. As you enter the house through a lovely wrought iron gate you will immediately note the dramatic interior with marble floors which creates a unifying effect throughout the house. From the circular dining room area you will step down into the elegant sunken living room with 11 foot ceilings. Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto palms, flowers and the turquoise sea beyond, seamlessly uniting the interior ambience with the outdoors. The tastefully chosen furnishings throughout the villa are made from exquisite hand carved woods from Indonesia, China, Mexico & Africa and are complemented by fine fabrics. The fully equipped kitchen which also opens onto a terrace, features marble counters, custom cabinetry, and provides both indoor and outdoor bars. The bedroom on the main level has its own full bath with a curved sculptured marble shower as well as glass doors to its own terrace, all opening to the beach view and tropical breezes.

Gleaming, cool marble floors carry through to the upper level where the luxurious master bedroom suite has a large private terrace offering breathtaking views of the sea and the garden. The spacious master bath includes expansive marble counters with double sinks and a 5 ft. round shower with glass doors opening to the ocean view and fresh air. The second bedroom on this level also features its own private terrace with spectacular ocean view, an adjoining private bathroom with views from its matching round shower. An impressive circular library, incorporated into the villa’s design between these two bedrooms, provides access to the rooftop terrace above, where you’ll find a curved cantilevered marble desk and glass top table not to mention a spectacular view at any time of the day or night. Another rather unique architectural feature of Villa Encantada is the lower level which is partially below grade, where the fourth bedroom with full bath and a playroom are located. The bedroom has two twin beds which can be easily transformed into a king-size. Windows do not provide the spectacular views as in other areas of the villa, but this level is cool and secluded, a perfect place for teenagers and children to enjoy their own space.

The extraordinary outdoor living spaces around the villa have also been very artistically designed, and all the amenities are beautifully arranged in a very pleasing balance, appealing to all the senses. The pool and garden facing the turquoise ocean is always an inviting ambience with the soft cooling tropical breezes. Hammocks in the shade of the palm trees make an ideal place to relax and day dream with the ‘surround-sound’ of nature. The palapa-roofed lounging area by the pool provides shaded and luxurious comfort for everyone, with plenty of cushioned seating for socializing, entertaining guests, reading, napping or just quiet relaxation. Sun worshippers can bask on comfortable lounge chairs around the pool while children can play and enjoy the water. There is yet another spacious outdoor area, a wonderful terrace under a charming, natural pergola, built by local craftsmen, where you can be in the semi-shade by day and dine alfresco with romantic lighting in the evenings.
